Reveals some signs of recovery in the second quarter 2007, when compared with results from the previous quarter. Over four out of ten small and medium sized firms reported higher total workload and more enquiries, and three out of ten reported a rise in employment. The strongest results were for work for private clients, with new build and repair, maintenance and improvement of private housing and commercial work the strongest. Generally, southern England outperformed northern England.
