Reports data from ARLA's quarterly survey of member letting agents and investor landlords. Covers yields, rents, void periods, types of rental property and regional differences. In this first review, figures for the final quarter of 2007 show a 1.3% fall in the value of rented houses over the previous three months, resulting from house price value falls. The average value of rented flats fell by 1.1% across the country. Achievable rent levels have increased over the previous six months, with 72% of respondents in London and 44% in the rest of the UK reporting that this was the case.
