Online resources: Summary: Come into force 6 April 2008. Amend the Building Regulations 2000. Regulation 2(3) inserts a new regulation 22A to which the Building Act 1984 s35A applies (time limit for prosecution for contravention of certain building regulations). For designated provisions, the time limit is increased from six months from the date of a contravention to two years. The designated provisions are those in building regulations made for the purpose of conserving fuel and power or reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and include those set out in Part L.
