Scope of the consultation -- Summary -- Introduction and background -- Referrals by a landowner -- Landowners retaining an interest in the land -- Case studies -- Annexes
Seeks views of the public on proposals to encourage landlords to bring forward land for affordable social housing in rural areas. This would apply to land identified as a rural exception site as defined in Policy Planning Statement (PPS) 3: Housing. Proposals are to permit landowners, via a referrals system, to allow family members or employees meeting the requirements to occupy houses built on the land sold and/or keep a legal interest in their land.
