Summary: If construction contracts do not comply with the requirements set out in the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 Part II, then the Scheme for Construction Contracts (England and Wales) Regulations 1998 applies. This consultation sets out proposed changes to the Scheme, as a consequence of the Local Democracy, Economic Development and Construction Act 2009 Part 8, which amends the payment and adjudication provisions of the 1996 Act. Deadline for comments is 18 June 2010.
