House prices have fallen across all regions for first time since April 2009 with average price decrease of 0.4% in September. Demand for housing dropped by 2.9% and volume of buyers registering with agents fell by 6.5%. The supply of homes coming onto to the market to slow, limiting the potential scale of price falls in the next 12 months.
