This third edition of the guidance replaces the second edition with effect from 1 January 2016. Please note this version is a reissue of the guidance note first published in March 2015. The main focus of the changes relate to suggested sampling options contained in Annex B3.
Effective from 1 September 2015. Gives clear guidance on the conduct of surveying practice in cases of mundic and the resulting deterioration of concrete building materials. The publication details a recommended sampling and testing procedure, to identify the condition of aggregates used in domestic and small commercial properties, to help lenders distinguish between those properties accepted as mortgageable and those that are not. It imparts clear guidance on the conduct of surveying practice, including the custody of samples, and records a number of minor changes in petrographers? testing regimes. It also includes new guidance on the assessment of mass concrete by testing density.
