The influence of steel condition on the effectiveness of repairs to reinforced concrete
Language: English Series: Construction & Building Materials ; 3(4) 4 December 1989, 201-207(7)Publication details: 1989Subject(s): Summary: Considers the influence of steel condition on the durability of repairs to reinforced concrete . Three steel cleansing procedures are assessed in terms of whether the reinforcement continues to corrode after completion of repairs. Three steel conditions are examined, generally corroded, locally corroded with course pits and locally corroded with cluster of fine pits. Results show that the durability of the repair is sensitive to the steel cleaning procedure and that for steel with clusters of fine pits none was effective in preventing further corrosion .| Item type | Current library | Call number | Copy number | Status | Barcode | |
