Around 440 facilities managers responded to questions about their qualifications, the number of buildings they look after, the size of their department and budget, their background, their organisation, and the delivery of key services. The survey revealed that 11% of respondents come from a surveying background, and 10% work for a facilities or property management company. The survey also found over 80% of facilities managers control five or more support services contracts, confirming the role of contract manager.
