New construction work was 11% higher than the previous year despite a decrease in the private industrial sector. Repair and maintenance also rose over the same period with increases in the private sector easily offsetting a fall in the public housing sector. Fourth quarter 2002 output rose by 2% in volume and 3% in current prices over the third quarter 2002.
