CBI cautious over manufacturing recovery

The survey shows that 18% of respondent firms were more optimistic than three months ago, while 25% were less optimistic. Although the balance is negative it is the best since July 2002. 20% of respondents say that they expect orders to go up over the next three months with a similar number expecting a decline which is an overall improvement on earlier surveys.
