Rents rising fast
Series: RICS Press Release ; (pr104) 3 December 2004 (2)Publication details: 2004Subject(s): Summary: Rents are rising at their fastest rate for over three years according to the latest "RICS residential lettings survey: Great Britain". The survey covers the last three months to end of October 2004. The rent increases are due to rising tenant demand which is outpacing newly available rental properties in the market. The rise in demand is a result of interest rate rises. Potential buyers are opting to rent, rather than take a risk on the currently uncertain housing market. There has also been a slowdown in rented property available as the buy-to-let boom tails off. http://www.rics.org| Item type | Current library | Call number | Copy number | Status | Barcode | |
