The Scottish Executive is currently revising its 1985 guidance on green belts, "Development in the countryside and green belts". The SGBA report reviews the purposes of green belts and the pressures eroding their effectiveness, examines various spatial models and puts forward it's own ideas for a revised green belt policy.
