New home sales are expected to rise in 2005 although optimism has moderated. A net balance of +17% in April expect more sales in 2005 than in 2004 (+40% in March). Averaged over the last three months all the English regions and Scotland saw a lower level of net reservations than a year ago, while Wales saw no change The regional price breakdown over the same period shows rising prices in Scotland and northern England with declines in London and the East Midlands.
