Light reflectance values
Language: English Series: Access by Design ; (104) Autumn 2005, 13-16(4)Publication details: 2005Subject(s): Summary: Summarises research into Light Reflectance Values (LRV) of articles such as door furniture, in respect of "BS 8300: 2001 Design of buildings and their approaches to meet the needs of disabled: code of practice", which uses very general terms regarding the identification of door furniture, such as handles, on doors. Details research methodology and conclusions. Results showed that in relation to a three-dimensional object, such as a lever handle, the LRV difference between it and its mounting surface is not as important as first thought. Lighting levels in general are a more important factor.| Item type | Current library | Call number | Copy number | Status | Barcode | |
