Construction contract policy

Hughes, Will

Construction contract policy do we mean what we say? - London RICS Foundation 2002 - 25p. 30cm. - RICS Foundation Research Papers 4(12) .

The authors set out to ascertain how people in the construction industry feel about the way that contracts should be drafted, and whether they support current moves towards innovative working practices. While everybody readily agrees with the basic sentiments that lie behind these changes, the research demonstrated that many people disagree at a fundamental level with the kind of contract practices that would be required to implement them. Particularly problematic are changes in culture and attitude called for in key reports, such as the Latham Report, in recent years. The study shows that there is still much to be done to align current practice with lofty aspirations. [Taken from website].
