Sets out recommended standards for the performance of building control which, in the view of the Construction Industry Council the Local Government Association and the Association of Corporate Approved Inspectors, all building control bodies, local authorities and approved inspectors should adopt. The guidance covers: policy, resources, consultation, assessment of plans as well as site inspection, certificates at completion, records archiving, CPD, performance review, quality management, business ethics and complaints procedures.
