The requirement for sound insulation testing to be included in the Building Regulations 2000 and the Building (Approved Inspectors etc) Regulations 2000 in relation to the erection of a dwelling house or building containing flats which was due to come into force on 1 January 2004 will not come into force until 1 July 2004.
