Presents government proposals to reform and improve planning obligations (section 106 agreements). The proposals are intended to provide greater transparency and certainty for stakeholders and help enable developers and local planning authorities to avoid delays. These obligations make developers donate to the local community through cash or a contribution towards local infrastructure.Government also hopes to use negotiation to tailor such contributions to the circumstances of an individual site and to promote flexibility.
