LT 28 November 1995. L sought compensation under the Land Compensation Act 1973 ss37 & 38, following his dispossession from a motor vehicle repair workshop. The workshop was located initially at 83a Clive Road but when that property was compulsorily purchased by Lambeth LBC (X), L took up occupation of the adjacent property, 83b. L sought £67,503.30. X argued that the amount should be reduced because compensation was payable on 83a only and that L had been offered an alternative workshop unit which he had refused. "Held" the compensation should be reduced to take the issues raised by X into consideration. £13,024.30 payable by X.
