Came into force 31 March 2004. Amend the Leasehold Reform (Enfranchisement and Extension) Regulations 1967 consequential to amendments made to the Leasehold Reform Act 1967 s1 by the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 ss138-140. The provisions in the 2002 Act abolished the residence test with two exceptions: i) where the tenancy is a business tenancy; and ii) where a flat forming part of the house is let to a tenant who is a qualifying tenant for the purposes of the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 Part I.
