Better buildings - better lives Sustainable Buildings Task Group report [electronic resource] - [S.l.] DTI 2004

The Sustainable Buildings Task Group was set up in 2003 to advise government on practical and cost effective measures to improve the sustainability of buildings. This report presents their findings and sets out key recommendations. These include a national code for sustainable building based on BREEAM and incorporating minimum standards in key resource efficiency criteria and a best practice guide for developing sustainable buildings to accompany PPS1. Other recommendations cover: the Building Regulations; existing building stock; information about buildings, timber and waste; labelling of construction materials and products; and fiscal incentives.
