Consultation document published by the Health and Safety Commission sets out proposals for new Regulations to consolidate and replace the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1994 and the Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996. The proposals aim to simplify the Regulations, focus on planning and management, and encourage co-ordination and co-operation between designers and contractors. The consultation closes on 29 July 2005.
