Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005 - London TSO 2005

Received Royal Assent on 7 April 2005. The Act aims to improve the powers, duties and guidance for dealing with problems associated with local environmental quality and to produce options for delivering changes. Measures cover: crime and disorder adversely affecting the environment; nuisance parking; abandoned and illegally parked vehicles; litter and refuse; graffiti; fly-posting; and the illegal display of advertisements. Further parts of the Act concern provisions about waste, dog control, noise nuisance and miscellaneous and supplementary provisions. Part VIII establishes a statutory body to replace the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment, a non-departmental public body. The Act extends only to England and Wales.
