Foresters stay independent ICF vote no to RICS merger

Members of the Institute of Chartered Foresters (ICF) voted at their AGM on 23 June 2005 on the issue of winding-up ICF and transferring its entire membership to RICS. Although a clear majority (64%) voted to support the merger, the result fell short of the 75% required by the ICF constitution to effect change. The merger planned for 1 January 2006 will not now go ahead.
