Agreement for use where the JCT Standard Building Contract With Approximate Quantities (2005 Edition), JCT Standard Building Contract Without Quantities (2005 Edition) or JCT Standard Building Contract With Quantities (2005 Edition) is the main contract and for subcontract works where the subcontractor is not required to design. May be used for where subcontract works and/or main contract works are to be carried out in sections and for subcontract works that are to be carried out on the basis of an adjusted subcontract sum (adjustment for variations etc) or by complete remeasurement. If the subcontractor is to design any part of the subcontract works, even though the other criteria are met, the JCT Standard Building Subcontract With Subcontractors Design Agreement (2005 Edition) and JCT Standard Building Subcontract with Subcontractor's Design Conditions (2005 Edition) should be used instead.
