RICS responds to HSE consultation - London RICS 2005

RICS has responded to the Health and Safety Executive(HSE) in response to its consultation on "The revision of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1994, Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996, Approved Code of Practice and Guidance" (L129313). The HSE is attempting to simplify and update regulations and guidance in this crucial area of construction design, management and health & safety. RICS supports the aims of this review but questions whether these changes will confuse even experienced clients and suggests that more guidance is needed before implementation of the revised regulations.
