Homebuy expanding the opportunity to own government's response

The government response to the April 2005 consultation "Homebuy - expanding the opportunity to own" (see L) concludes that the Homebuy proposals will meet the objectives of making low cost home ownership simpler, fairer and more affordable and help more people achieve their home ownership aspirations. The new suite of Homebuy products will be affordable, simple and sustainable, offers value for money and forms part of a coherent agenda to create sustainable communities. The opportunity to own will be expanded to over 100,000 people by 2010.
