Records that house prices showed a muted upturn in November after 15 months of consecutive falls. Completed property sales rose 1% on year ago levels, the first annual increase in 16 months. Buyer enquiries for house purchases rose for the sixth consecutive month in November, the longest spell of increases since 2001. Market conditions continue to tighten as property sales rise and stocks of unsold property fall. Surveyor confidence in the house price outlook hits a 18 month high and confidence for the future sales outlook remained at elevated levels.
