This joint consultation paper seeks views on proposals for water company water resources management plan regulations for England and Wales. Since 1999 water companies have produced water resources plans on a voluntary basis but the Water Act 2003 has made it statutory for water companies to produce these plans. The proposed regulations will specify details about some of the processes involved and will enable stakeholders to be better informed and contribute to the water resources planning process. The consultation closes on 25 April 2006.
