Provides standards representing DCLG policy for both the approval and ongoing operation of certification schemes for home inspectors and are the minimum requirements to be met by a certification scheme. Covers home inspector registration, home inspector compliance and home condition report compliance. All home inspectors must work to these standards to maintain public confidence in the home condition report and the role of the home inspector.
