- RICS UK Economic Brief June 2006 .
Economy -- Commercial property -- Construction -- Residential property
Reports a strengthening in the UK economy and consumer spending in the first half of 2006, and growth in the economy in quarter two is set to at least equal this pace. The housing market is also stronger. Nevertheless, as wage pressures remain subdued and given the more fragile state of the stockmarket, RICS expects any interest rate rise to be delayed towards the end of the year.
