ChD 21 March 1996. G held a term of business premises from S for a term of twenty years from June 24 1985. By letter dated 4 October 1994, G served notice to determine the lease on 9 July 1995. The letter also requested a new tenancy under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 s26. "Held" G`s request for a new tenancy infringed s26(2) of the 1954 Act. Neither the notice to terminate or the request for a new tenancy determined the term of the lease. Application dismissed.
