Received Royal Assent on 25 July 2006. Part I, s3, establishes joint and several liability in cases where a person has contracted mesothelioma as a result of being negligently exposed to asbestos. This will enable victims of mesothelioma to receive full compensation from any responsible person; that person will then be able to claim contributions from any other responsible persons.
