Average residential values increased by 0.4% over September and are now 4.3% higher than a year ago, the fastest year on year growth rate for two years. Despite the rate increase in August house prices continue to rise as the Autumn selling season starts. Prices have risen in nine out of 10 regions. Average values in London rose by 0.9% over September.
