The sector plan for the waste management industry in England Wales looks particularly at how to drive businesses to improve their environmental performance. It has been produced in collaboration with the industry and the Environmental Services Association. Provides operators and the Environment Agency with a strategic framework within which to work to achieve both environmental and operational benefits. The overall aim of this plan is to develop more sustainable waste management in England and Wales through effective management control and regulation of the industry. An action plan will be developed to set out the steps to be taken and how progress will be monitored.
