Summarises the results of the 2006 Savills rural estates benchmarking survey, now in its 11th year. Records data from 175 participating estates with a combined acreage of around 850 000 acres. The 2006 survey shows that the average estate includes about 4 500 acres (1 800 ha) and around 50 residential properties. Covers English and Scottish estates.
