Office take-up reached 4m sq ft in the third quarter 2006, the strongest quarter's take-up in nearly two years. Availability, at just over 12m sq ft across Central London, continues to fall and the Central London vacancy rate is now below 5%. Central London rents increased by 4% in the third quarter 2006, with the year on year growth rate topping 9%. Investment turnover was £3.8bn, bringing the year to date figure to over £11bn.
