Seeks feedback on proposals to set minimum standards for water efficiency in new dwellings and new business premises (for domestic uses of water) in England and Wales. Presents various options, and outlines the costs and benefits (reduced consumer demand for water supply, carbon savings etc) that would result. The standards will underpin those set out in the "Code for sustainable homes" (L135998). Consultation deadline is 9 March 2007.
