The NEC owned by Birmingham City Council, is suing quantity surveyor Francis Graves and his firm for an estimated £4m. The case concerns the phase of the National Exhibition Centre completed in 1989. NEC Ltd claim `a failure to keep building costs below £36.8m`; Graves is counterclaiming for unpaid fees plus interest.
