With property returns outperforming equity and bond markets over the last few years, demand for real estate properties from investors inside and outside the region continues to exceed supply. The largest investment markets remain France, Germany and the UK, although the Netherlands and Turkey clocked up some major transactions in the first half of 2007, and the Middle East and Eastern Europe are winning larger shares of the market. The investment market throughout EMEA is dominated by office transactions, with retail transactions in second place.
