There was a general cooling across the UK, with London and Northern Ireland remaining outside this trend. In London the house price growth was the highest in almost four years. Price growth in Northern Ireland was the fastest since records began in 1973. Prices in the south of England increased almost twice as much as in the north. The average house price was £175 554.
