Presents a draft regional economic and development strategy for the East of England, proposed for 2008 to 2031. Aims to increase prosperity and productivity within the region, while improving employment. An overall reduction in CO2 emissions is also targeted. Identifies demographic statistics within the region and suggests how these can best be used to achieve the stated aims. Lists a number of priorities for enterprise and innovation; skills, transport and prices; and specialist areas. Suggests methods of performance monitoring and a delivery mechanism. The consultation period ends on 26 November 2007.
