Three exemplar case studies incorporating principles of sustainable urbanism are identified and compared with traditional and conventional development schemes in terms of the value of each scheme. Reveals that building to include many of the features of sustainable urbanism can improve total development value. Also examines the social case for designing developments in accordance with sustainable principles.
