Looks at how using vegetation in buildings can impact on energy efficiency, the internal environment, water management, microclimate and biodiversity and summarises the building design and cost implications of greening a commercial property. Concludes that in isolation greening is not necessarily environmentally positive, but it does provide subjective benefits such as worker satisfaction and opportunities for improving urban biodiversity.
