Housing and planning delivery grant (hpdg) consultation on allocation mechanism [electronic resource]

Details the Government's proposals for allocation of the new Housing and Planning Delivery Grant (HPDG) of £500m. The Grant is aimed at encouraging improved housing delivery and improved planning, and at helping the Government meet its target of 240 000 homes per year by 2016. The proposed allocation mechanism consists of two elements, one for housing and one for planning. Further mechanisms may be developed later to cover empty homes, surplus public sector land and design. Responses are due by 17 January 2008.
