Presents statistics on residential developments, comparing performance against national targets. Updates residential statistics which were presented in a previous release (L138265). Provides information on other types of land use change. Estimates that 74% of new dwellings in 2006 were built on previously developed land, and at an average density of 41 per hectare. Between 2002 and 2005, 67% of land claimed for industry and commerce was pre-developed, including land where the previous use was also industry and commerce.
