Reports that the final stage of the introduction of Home Information Packs and Energy Performance Certificates is to take place on 14 December 2007. This will meet all criteria which had originally been planned for 11 June 2007. Buyers with low EPC ratings are receiving government help on energy efficiency measures. The housing minister reports that the gradual introduction has gone smoothly, with HIPs costing on average £300-£350 and taking 7-10 days to prepare.
