The interim report by the Pitt Review of the floods of summer 2007 aims to identify issues which require urgent action. It also prescribes the further direction of the review, and provides an opportunity for consultation prior to the final report which is due in summer 2008. Makes 15 urgent recommendations to protect against any flooding in the near future. They are based on flood risk management, groundwater monitoring, planning and response, public information and preparedness. 72 interim conclusions are offered throughout the text, also covering these areas.
