Presents results of US email survey. Finds that green building is gaining momentum as a commercial real estate strategy and is also becoming a new industry standard. 84% of corporate users and 77% of developers expect to own, manage or lease at least some green properties five years from now. Suggests that this, coupled with rising energy costs, means that the business case for sustainable development is gaining momentum. Considers that, with nearly half of corporate users and more than half of developers considering green design important or extremely important, green building is becoming part of the sector outlook.
